When Jesus became man, he made it possible for God to enter every corner of
human existence: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. Nothing human is outside of God's domain. This retreat will focus on developing a sacramental worldview, that is, being able to see God's grace at work in the signs and symbols of human living, including the communications media. The retreat will include "Cinema Divina" prayer experience using the Oscar-winning short film, The Neighbors' Window.

Sister Hosea Rupprecht, FSP, is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, a religious community dedicated to evangelization with the communications media. She holds a Masters of Theological Studies from the University of St. Michael’s College and an MA in Media Literacy from Webster University. An author, film critic, workshop and retreat presenter, and former TV show host, Hosea has spent the past 20 years helping the faithful integrate their faith, values and media experience on the school, parish, diocesan, and national levels.
We had the opportunity to spend time at San Alfonso Retreat Center in Long Branch, NJ with over 100 other women from NY, NJ, and PA. It was truly an outstanding retreat which was evi-denced by the fact that many women return each year anywhere from 5 to 45 consecutive years to attend this remarkable place for quiet reflection, spiritual growth and bonding with other wom-en. It was an amazing sight to see women of all ages but espe-cially ones with walkers and wheelchairs making their way to the altar on Sunday to receive a certificate of attendance! Please prayerfully consider to attend this special place. www.sanalfonsoretreats.org Any questions, please contact Kathy Ronning at kathleenronning4@gmail.com
