The Unique Gift God has Picked just for you
From billions of angels, God selected one Guardian Angel especially for
you, an angel who has not been nor will be assigned to anyone else...ever!
Our angels help us strengthen our faith, aid us in prayer, protect us from harm, and bring us closer to God.
If you’d like to develop a closer relationship with your constant companion, our next Consecration to the Guardian Angels Studies program begins Fall - 2023. While it’s a self-study program, monthly meetings will be offered to discuss reading material, share experiences, and enjoy the company of fellow parishioners.
Application forms are available in the “Documents” section above. Please email your application to StJohnLamb.GuardianAngels@gmail.com, or return it to the parish office. To make your consecration next year, it is important to submit your application before the end of July. There is a $35 fee to cover all books and materials.
For more about the history and design of the program, visit opusangelorum.org “membership”. If you have questions, please email StJohnLamb.GuardianAngels@gmail.com.

PASSIO DOMINI
Accompany Christ in His Passion With your Guardian Angel
The Passio Domini, the Passion of our Lord, is a devotion that
commemorates the Hours of Jesus’ Agony each Thursday
and Hours of the Cross on Fridays.
This devotion is part of our Consecration to our Guardian Angels studies. Prayers can be found at opusangelorum.org - “Meditations”.
Psalm 91:11-12
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
As part of our Crusade for Priests, we have a Spiritual Adoption Program whereby one may adopt a specific priest, Bishop, or seminarian. When praying daily for our “adopted priest”, we ask Our Lord to allow these graces and blessings to flow to all priests, especially for those who have no one to pray for them. St. Thomas Aquinas teaches that Jesus did not need a Guardian Angel
during His earthly life because He was guided immediately by the Word
of God. As the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, he already enjoyed
the Beatific Vision to a degree vastly surpassing that of all the angels.
Therefore, instead of a Guardian Angel to guide him, it was fitting that
Jesus should have rather a ministering angel (or angels) to assist and
serve Him during His time on earth.
This reflection and others can be found at the Opus Sanctorum
Angelorum website: opusangelorum.org. If you would like to develop
a closer relationship with your Guardian Angel, please consider joining
our Consecration to our Guardian Angels studies. The application is
above, available for download. It can be returned to the office or placed
in the collection basket. If you have questions, please contact us at
StJohnLamb.GuardianAngels@gmail.com.
